Getting Started

How do I add the widget to my lock screen?

Long-press your iPhone lock screen, tap "Customize," then tap the widget area. Search for "VoyVoy" and select the circular currency widget. It will display your most recently used conversion.

How do I change currencies?

Open the app and tap the currency selector to choose from 31 supported currencies. Your selection is automatically saved and synced to the widget.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. VoyVoy caches exchange rates on your device. The app updates rates automatically when connected to the internet, but works fully offline using the last cached rates.

How often are exchange rates updated?

Exchange rates are refreshed automatically when you open the app (if connected to the internet). Rates are sourced from the European Central Bank via Frankfurter.dev and are typically updated daily.

Can I use the app offline?

Yes. All features work offline using cached exchange rates and locally stored language packs.

How do I create a custom wallpaper?

Go to the Wallpaper tab, choose your background image (from photos or presets), select currencies and amounts to display, optionally add travel phrases, then tap "Generate Wallpaper."

How do I save wallpapers to my photos?

After generating a wallpaper, tap "Save to Photos." You'll be prompted to grant photo library access the first time. The wallpaper is saved at your device's native resolution.

Troubleshooting

Exchange rates aren't updating

1. Check your internet connection
2. Go to Settings tab
3. Tap "Refresh Exchange Rates"
4. Check "Last Updated" timestamp

If rates still won't update, the Frankfurter.dev API may be temporarily unavailable. The app will continue using cached rates.

Widget isn't showing on lock screen

1. Make sure you've added the widget (long-press lock screen → Customize → add VoyVoy widget)
2. Open the main app at least once to initialize data
3. Try removing and re-adding the widget
4. Restart your iPhone

Can't save wallpaper to photos

Go to iPhone Settings → VoyVoy → Photos → Select "Add Photos Only" or "Full Access"

App crashes or freezes

1. Force quit the app (swipe up from app switcher)
2. Restart your iPhone
3. Ensure you're running iOS 17.0 or later
4. If the problem persists, contact support below

Is the app really free?

Yes. VoyVoy is 100% free with no feature restrictions, no ads, and no subscriptions. All features are available to everyone.

What are the in-app purchases for?

The in-app purchases are voluntary donations to support development. They do NOT unlock any features - the entire app is free regardless of whether you donate.

What data does VoyVoy collect?

VoyVoy does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Location data (if you grant permission) is only used locally to suggest destination currencies. All preferences are stored on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
